This important meeting will share the detail of the review and the implications for practice for everyone involved, across the sectors in the EYFS.

Speaker/s:
Professor Chris Pascal and Professor Tony Bertram

A group of 12 early years sector organisations including Early Education, NDNA, KEYU, TACTYC, BERA, PACEY, ECSDN and the NCB commissioned Professor Chris Pascal and Professor Tony Bertram to bring together a literature review of the most recent research evidence (from the last ten years) which underpins the Early Years Foundation Stage. They found no evidence to support the extensive proposed changes to the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The report identifies where a case for change is supported by the evidence and recommends the government’s review of the EYFS adheres to four key principles.
