South Yorkshire Futures: Working Together to Transform Lives

Tuesday 18 September 2018, 5 – 7pm
Charles Street Building, Arundel Gate, Sheffield

At South Yorkshire Futures we are building a movement. We are determined that working together with partners across education, charities and third sector, local authorities, young peoples’ services, business and government, to name but a few, we can transform the lives of those young people who need our support the most. And we must do more.

We are delighted to welcome Sheffield City Region Mayor, Dan Jarvis MBE MP, as our guest speaker. Dan will discuss the potential of South Yorkshire Futures to positively impact on the life opportunities of our young people – linking to his own vision for education and its intrinsic link to the success of the region as a whole.

“Life chances are set early and I want the region’s parents, nurseries, schools and colleges to take a more integrated approach in helping young people achieve their potential.”
Dan Jarvis Mayoral Manifesto 2018

Join us at the event to:
> Learn about the aims and objectives of the programme
> Find out more about our activity and progress over the last 12 months – looking at specific projects related to early years, teacher recruitment and retention, and routes into higher education and work
>  Discover how you and your organisation can get involved and become part of the most progressive social mobility programmes in the country

This is a unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with a range of people committed to tackling the barriers and driving opportunity for young people in South Yorkshire.

Please pass this invitation onto your colleagues and friends who share our ambitions. We welcome attendance from anyone involved in work which can make a difference to the future of young people from our region.
